2 Championships in 2 weeks for FF Corse drivers

David Mason & Calum Lockie sealed the overall Britcar Endurance Championship at the weekend, making it two Championships in two weeks for FF Corse drivers.

After 14 separate races and 21 hours of racing, the pairing won the Championship by a single point at the Donington decider.

The final races were not without their dramas, as a pump failure in race 1 (during Calum Lockie’s stint) forced David Mason to complete half of the 90 minute race without the aid of power-steering.

The second race was held at night and a faultless performance saw the #26 car win the GTC class and finish second overall, which was enough to win the overall Championship (along with the GTC Class Championship).

As part of the Championship winning prize David has won a free entry to the Britcar 24hr race, to be held at Silverstone in April and the team is now considering their options.

In addition to the Championship winning races, newly crowned GT Cup GTC Class Champion, John Seale, was making his debut in the GT Trophy Series and duly took a hat-trick of overall race wins in the three 30 minute races. John’s 100% record takes the overall tally of FF Corse race wins to 21 for the season (so far) and 95 overall.
